As of 9 October 2026, EFICOR's Bihar flood response continues to address urgent needs through cash assistance, essential relief supplies and community awareness programmes. These interventions aim to help vulnerable households meet immediate needs while protecting their dignity, safety and well-being.

Cash assistance enables vulnerable households to prioritise their most urgent needs, from food and essential supplies to household recovery, shelter-related expenses and livelihood restoration.
As of 9 October 2026, 1,858 households have received cash assistance, against a target of 2,795 households in West Champaran.
Access to essential household items, safe water and hygiene supplies is critical during a flood emergency. EFICOR is providing non-food item (NFI) and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) kits to help affected families meet essential household and hygiene needs.
As of 9 October 2026, relief kit distribution is reported for 1,500 households against a target of 1,500 households.
Humanitarian assistance must also address the protection risks faced by vulnerable communities. Through gender-based violence awareness programmes, EFICOR is working to strengthen awareness of risks, promote safer access to assistance and improve understanding of available support mechanisms.
As of 9 October 2026, 18 awareness programmes have been conducted, reaching approximately 1,900 households. The response target is 25 programmes, with a planned reach of 3,500 households.
