Daich Medhavi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in English Literature and has completed a one-year Certificate Course in Community Development Organising from EFICOR, New Delhi. With more than 23 years of experience in the development sector, he has contributed significantly to thematic areas such as food security, disaster response, maternal and child health, nutrition, climate change adaptation, and emergency relief work.
He has successfully led large-scale relief operations in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra, and has managed several of EFICOR’s health-related projects over the years. His leadership has played a vital role in delivering impactful programs to vulnerable and marginalised communities. Daich is known for his effective team management and strategic planning. He places strong emphasis on outcome-based project monitoring, ensuring that indicators guide implementation and drive measurable impact. Fluent in more than five languages and familiar with several tribal dialects, he is able to build meaningful rapport with diverse communities.
Currently based in Nagpur, he serves as the Zonal Implementer for EFICOR’s Central Zone, overseeing five projects across Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra—three of which focus specifically on maternal and child health and nutrition.
