
Harshan K.Y. is an accomplished development professional with a Master’s in Mission & Development Practices and over three decades of progressive experience with EFICOR, spanning diverse leadership and grassroots roles across India. Currently serving as Senior Manager – Resource Mobilisation & Southern Zone Programme Manager, he spearheads organisational resource mobilisation through strategic donor engagement and CSR partnerships, while providing technical guidance and oversight of community resilience and emergency response projects, aligned with Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS).
He brings extensive expertise as a former Manager – Emergency Response & Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), having led national disaster responses and long-term resilience strategies. His portfolio also includes six years managing HIV/AIDS care and support programmes, and leadership of EFICOR’s flagship Tsunami Relief and Rehabilitation Project in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, following the 2004 tsunami.
Earlier in his career, he gained rich grassroots experience as Assistant Programme Coordinator in disaster preparedness in Andhra Pradesh, Project Assistant in a watershed development initiative among the Malto tribes in Jharkhand, and Community Development Organizer in EFICOR’s tribal development projects.
These experiences have honed his expertise in humanitarian response, programme management, stakeholder engagement, and resource mobilisation, enabling him to build resilient communities and strengthen organisational sustainability with excellence.
