Reporting To

Block Coordinator

Role Summary

The Field Supervisors will be responsible for the effective implementation of Sanjeevani project activities at the Health Sub-Centre (HSC) level. The role involves supervising frontline health staff, coordinating with community-based workers, and ensuring timely referral and linkage with Government health services to improve community health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise project activities at the Health Sub-Centre level
  • Facilitate community awareness and behaviour change sessions on health, nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention
  • Support screening, identification, follow-up, and referral of health cases to appropriate Government health facilities
  • Coordinate closely with ASHAs, Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), and other frontline health functionaries at the HSC level
  • Maintain accurate HSC-level records and submit timely progress reports
  • Support mobilisation and engagement of vulnerable groups, including women, children, adolescents, and the elderly
  • Provide training support, mentoring, and regular handholding to Community Health Animators
  • Ensure community participation and strengthen linkages between communities and Government health systems

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Public Health, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 1–3 years of field-level experience in health, nutrition, or development programmes
  • Prior experience working with tribal or marginalised communities will be an advantage

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong community mobilisation and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Government health systems and schemes
  • Ability and willingness to work in tribal, rural, and remote areas
  • Good documentation and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in local languages is preferred
  • Candidates from Jharkhand or Bihar will be given preference
