Inviting you to join in this movement in India to observe December 1st or any other Sunday in December as “AIDS Sunday”.In the last three decades HIV & AIDS has emerged as a serious public health and development issue. India has the second largest number of individuals affected by HIV & AIDS with more than 3 million infected. Although there is a certain level of awareness among churches in India, the general response has been one of denial and apathy.EFICOR would like faith based organisations to address the issue of AIDS which is a major concern in the world today. December 1st is observed globally as “World AIDS Day”, a reminder to all of us about those infected and affected by HIV & AIDS. To create awareness on this issue and to invite you to be care givers for HIV & AIDS affected persons.
