Lila Devi is a 31 year old widow from Pasta village of Aura gram panchayat in Hasanpur. She is a daily wage labourer who works in the agriculturefield as a daily wage labourer. However, during the lockdown she could not find any work in the village and had to struggle much to provide for her family of 6. She was chosen as a beneficiary for the unconditional cash transfer and given INR 2000. She says “We struggled to have proper meals during this lockdown. Sometimes my mother would send us some groceries but it was not enough. We could not afford to buy any vegetables as well. After many weeks we were able to buy vegetables and basic groceries for my family with the support of INR2000 received from EFICOR for which I am very thankful”.
