Candle Light Vigil Held In Delhi To Create Awareness On Human Trafficking

Together with other members of the Push Network (People Uniting to Stop Human Trafficking) we organised a Candle Light Vigil at Dilli Haat yesterday, on #HumanRightsDay. Through placards, songs, drama, and poems we shared the message that no one has the right to sell someone else for labour, sex or marriage. Everyone deserves freedom, fair pay, rest breaks and holidays, and a safe working environment. In Indian homes our domestic helpers are often treated inhumanely, like slaves rather than servants. We need to ensure that all people are treated with dignity and respect.
